John Burke
Bio
John Burke is a founding partner of Thomas Braun Bernard and Burke, LLP. He is known for his attention to detail and willingness to leave no stone unturned when working to prove his client’s case. For more than twenty years, he has focused almost exclusively on civil litigation. While the majority of his practice concerns injuries and deaths resulting from motor vehicle accidents, he also handles litigation arising from bad faith denials of claims by insurance companies, defective products, business disputes, and construction disputes.
John grew up in Isabel, South Dakota. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern State University in 1993 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Dakota in 1996. Because John graduated in the top 10% of his class, he graduated as a member of the Thomas Sterling Honor Society. After graduating from law school, John completed a one-year clerkship with the Sixth Judicial Circuit of South Dakota in Pierre.
